About the Role
The Fire Fighter position at Adani Airport Holdings Ltd is a critical role that requires a highly skilled and dedicated individual to respond to emergencies and operate firefighting equipment. As a key member of the airport's emergency response team, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of passengers, crew, and airport personnel. The role will involve working closely with other emergency services, such as medical teams and security personnel, to provide a comprehensive response to emergencies.The airport environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with a range of potential hazards and risks. The Fire Fighter will need to be able to think clearly and make quick decisions in high-pressure situations, often with limited information. The role will also involve working with a range of equipment and vehicles, including firefighting trucks and personal protective equipment.
The Fire Fighter will be part of a close-knit team of emergency responders, working together to provide a safe and secure environment for all airport users. The team will be led by an experienced manager, who will provide guidance and support to ensure that all team members are equipped to respond to emergencies effectively.
What You Will Do
- Respond promptly to aircraft incidents, structural fires, medical emergencies, hazardous materials incidents, and other emergency situations on airport property
- Perform firefighting, rescue, and emergency medical services to ensure the safety of individuals and property
- Extinguish fires using various firefighting techniques, including the use of water, foam, dry chemicals, and other firefighting agents
- Conduct search and rescue operations in smoke-filled and hazardous environments
- Provide first aid and basic life support (BLS) to injured or ill individuals until advanced medical personnel arrive
- Assist in the transportation of patients to medical facilities as needed
- Perform daily inspections and maintenance of firefighting vehicles, extinguishers, and personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Maintain inventory of firefighting supplies and equipment and ensure their readiness for use
- Participate in routine emergency response simulations, ICAO-mandated training, and fire drills
- Maintain detailed incident reports, training records, and shift logs for regulatory audits
What We Are Looking For
- Diploma in Fire Fighting Technology or equivalent qualification
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and make quick decisions in high-pressure situations
- Physical fitness and ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Knowledge of firefighting procedures and protocols
- Experience working in an airport environment (desirable)
- Certification in first aid and basic life support (BLS)
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
