About the Role
The Fire Fighter position at Adani Airport Holdings Ltd is a critical component of the airport's safety infrastructure. As a Fire Fighter, you will be responsible for responding to emergency situations, including aircraft and structural fires, medical emergencies, and hazardous material incidents. Your primary objective will be to ensure the safety and security of passengers, crew, and airport personnel.The Fire Fighter role is a dynamic and challenging position that requires a high level of physical fitness, mental toughness, and strong communication skills. You will be working in a fast-paced environment, often in high-pressure situations, and will need to be able to think clearly and make quick decisions.
The airport's fire department is a close-knit team that works together to provide a safe and secure environment for all airport users. As a Fire Fighter, you will be an integral part of this team and will be expected to work collaboratively with your colleagues to achieve common goals.
What You Will Do
- Respond promptly to emergency situations, including aircraft and structural fires, medical emergencies, and hazardous material incidents
- Perform firefighting, rescue, and emergency medical services to ensure the safety of individuals and property
- Conduct daily inspections and maintenance of firefighting vehicles, extinguishers, and personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Participate in routine emergency response simulations, ICAO-mandated training, and fire drills
- Maintain inventory of firefighting supplies and equipment and ensure their readiness for use
- Provide first aid and basic life support (BLS) to injured or ill individuals until advanced medical personnel arrive
- Assist in the transportation of patients to medical facilities as needed
- Collaborate with airport operations, medical services, and external emergency agencies during incidents
- Coordinate with the Duty Manager, ATC, and airport authorities during emergency operations and drills
- Identify potential hazards during patrols and inspections, ensuring immediate corrective action
What We Are Looking For
- Diploma in Fire Fighting Technology or equivalent qualification
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Physical fitness and mental toughness
- Ability to think clearly and make quick decisions in emergency situations
- Strong knowledge of firefighting techniques and equipment
- Experience in emergency medical services (EMS)
- Certification in basic life support (BLS)
- Ability to work in a smoke-filled or hazardous environment
- Strong observational and problem-solving skills
Nice to Have
- Experience working in an airport environment
- Certification in aircraft rescue and firefighting (ARFF)
- Knowledge of ICAO regulations and guidelines
