About the Role
The Fire Fighter role at Adani Airport Holdings Ltd is a critical position that requires a high level of skill, training, and physical fitness. As a Fire Fighter, you will be responsible for responding to emergency situations, including aircraft and structural fires, medical emergencies, and hazardous material incidents. You will work closely with the airport operations team, medical services, and external emergency agencies to ensure the safety and security of passengers, crew, and airport personnel.The role involves working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, where no two days are the same. You will be required to think on your feet, make quick decisions, and work effectively under pressure. What You Will Do
- Respond promptly to emergency situations, including aircraft and structural fires, medical emergencies, and hazardous material incidents
- Perform firefighting, rescue, and emergency medical services to ensure the safety of individuals and property
- Conduct search and rescue operations in smoke-filled and hazardous environments
- Provide first aid and basic life support to injured or ill individuals until advanced medical personnel arrive
- Assist in the transportation of patients to medical facilities as needed
- Perform daily inspections and maintenance of firefighting vehicles, extinguishers, and personal protective equipment
- Maintain inventory of firefighting supplies and equipment and ensure their readiness for use
- Participate in routine emergency response simulations, ICAO-mandated training, and fire drills
- Maintain detailed incident reports, training records, and shift logs for regulatory audits
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations and guidelines related to firefighting and emergency response
- Identify potential hazards during patrols and inspections, ensuring immediate corrective action
What We Are Looking For
- Diploma in Fire Fighting Technology or equivalent qualification
- Experience in firefighting, emergency medical services, or a related field
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and think on your feet
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and work in a physically demanding environment
- Knowledge of firefighting techniques, including the use of water, foam, dry chemicals, and other firefighting agents
- Familiarity with emergency medical services, including first aid and basic life support
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Nice to Have
- Experience working in an airport environment
- Certification in emergency medical services, such as EMT-B or EMT-P
- Knowledge of hazardous materials response and mitigation
- Experience with firefighting vehicles and equipment
- Familiarity with ICAO regulations and guidelines
