What You Will Do
- Guide vehicular or pedestrian traffic near or around construction sites to ensure safety
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the company's values and strategic plan
- Perform additional assignments as directed by management
- Collaborate with the construction team to understand site changes and adjust traffic control accordingly
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and regulations
- Manage traffic flow to minimize disruptions to the construction schedule
- Communicate effectively with the public and construction team members
- Stay alert and focused during long periods of standing or sitting
- Adapt to changing weather conditions and site environments
What We Are Looking For
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience in traffic control or a related field is an asset
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make quick decisions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to construction sites
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and work in various weather conditions
- Basic first aid training (or willingness to obtain)
Nice to Have
- Previous experience working in construction or a related industry
- Certification in traffic control or a related field
- Experience with digital tools and technology used in construction
- Foreign language skills, depending on the location of the construction site
