About the Role
The Assistant Team Leader, Product Management (Order Management Automation) plays a critical role in driving the success of Flight Centre's global operations. As a key member of the product team, you will be responsible for owning and maintaining the AMER Compleat product backlog, prioritizing regional stakeholder requirements, and ensuring seamless delivery of sprint commitments. Your expertise in Agile methodologies, data analysis, and stakeholder management will be essential in driving the team's success.The Order Management Automation team is at the forefront of Flight Centre's efforts to streamline its global operations, and as Assistant Team Leader, you will be instrumental in shaping the team's priorities and delivery. Your ability to collaborate with regional stakeholders, engineering leads, and the global product team will be crucial in ensuring that the team's efforts are aligned with the company's overall strategic objectives.
What You Will Do
- Own and maintain the AMER Compleat product backlog, including grooming, prioritization, and defining clear acceptance criteria
- Translate regional stakeholder requirements and operational insights into actionable user stories
- Plan and facilitate Agile sprint ceremonies, including planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives
- Track sprint progress, ensuring delivery commitments are met on time
- Partner with engineering leads to align on capacity and delivery timelines
- Serve as the L3 product support lead for AMER Compleat platform queries
- Triage incoming issues, assess severity, and coordinate resolution with product and engineering teams
- Identify recurring issues and feed insights back into backlog prioritization
- Collaborate with AMER stakeholders to understand regional priorities and operational needs
- Maintain strong communication with the global product team to ensure regional alignment
What We Are Looking For
- 2-4 years' experience in product management, product ownership, or business analysis with strong backlog management exposure (COMPLEAT)
- Proven experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and running sprint ceremonies
- Strong communication skills with the ability to write clear user stories and provide concise status updates
- Comfortable collaborating with engineering teams and understanding technical constraints
- Experience with data or reporting tools such as Excel, Notion, or Smartsheet (preferred)
- Interest in AI tools and their application within product workflows (nice to have)
- Reliable, high-speed internet connectivity required to support core job responsibilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines
