Job Description
## About the Role The Flight Coordinator role at Starlink Aviation is a critical position that requires a unique blend of technical expertise, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. As the first point of contact for corporate clients, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the logistics of charter flights, air ambulance operations, and private business aircraft. This includes preparing transportation arrangements, organizing travel itineraries, and ensuring compliance with Canadian and international customs regulations.
The role is based in Dorval, Quebec, Canada, and offers a hybrid work schedule with 10-hour rotating shifts. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with strong problem-solving abilities and excellent interpersonal skills.
The Flight Coordinator will report to the Assistant Director of Operations and will be responsible for supervising the Assistant Coordinator. The successful candidate will be expected to work closely with clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth operation of flights.
## What You Will Do - Coordinate charter flights, air ambulance operations, and private business aircraft - Prepare transportation logistics, including air and ground transportation - Organize travel arrangements, including hotel bookings and catering - Prepare customs documentation, including Canadian and international customs forms - Ensure compliance with Canadian Aviation Regulations, including CAR 604, 703, and 704 - Supervise the Assistant Coordinator and provide guidance and support as needed - Perform data entry and maintain accurate records - Follow up on invoices and purchase orders to ensure timely payment - Communicate with clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth operation of flights - Request documents from clients via email and phone - Handle catering and hotel services for clients
## What We Are Looking For - Bilingualism (spoken French and English) - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel - Experience in international aviation and/or air ambulance operations - Knowledge of Canadian and international customs regulations - Experience with Canadian Aviation Regulations, including CAR 604, 703, and 704 - Degree in tourism, flight operations, or event management - Familiarity with flight operations management tools, such as FOS - Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent interpersonal skills - Ability to work under tight deadlines and demonstrate leadership and initiative
