About the Role
The Folding Cartons Estimator plays a vital role in driving business growth by providing accurate and competitive estimates for clients. As a key member of the Remote VA team, you will work closely with sales, design, and production teams to ensure seamless project execution. Your expertise in estimating software and tools, such as Microsoft Excel, will enable you to analyze complex data sets and provide insightful recommendations.The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of packaging materials, printing processes, and manufacturing workflows. With a focus on delivering high-quality products while maintaining profitability, you will be responsible for reviewing customer requirements, analyzing materials and production costs, and selecting optimal substrates, inks, coatings, and finishing methods.
As a remote team member, you will be expected to work independently and collaboratively, leveraging technology to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients. Your attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to work under pressure will be essential in meeting tight deadlines and delivering exceptional results.
What You Will Do
- Review customer requirements, specifications, and design details to generate accurate cost estimates
- Analyze materials, production methods, and labor costs to determine pricing structures
- Collaborate with sales, design, and production teams to ensure optimal cost efficiency
- Select appropriate substrates, inks, coatings, and finishing methods based on project needs
- Prepare quotations, cost breakdowns, and profitability reports
- Keep updated on industry pricing trends, new technologies, and cost-saving methods
- Ensure estimates align with production capabilities and efficiency
- Maintain records of past estimates for reference and data analysis
- Work with vendors and suppliers to obtain material cost information
- Develop and implement cost-control strategies to drive business growth
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Printing Technology, or related field
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in estimating within the folding carton or packaging industry
- Strong understanding of packaging materials, printing processes, and manufacturing workflows
- Proficiency in estimating software and tools such as Microsoft Excel, ERP systems, and CAD software
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Knowledge of cost-control strategies and vendor negotiations
- Experience with data analysis and reporting

- Certification in lean manufacturing or six sigma
