About the Role
The forward-deployed engineer role at Medable is a critical position that requires a deep understanding of agentic AI, cloud-based platforms, and clinical development workflows. As a forward-deployed engineer, you will be the primary solution consultant, technical advisor, and embedded engineer for agentic AI and agent system deployments. You will work closely with customer stakeholders to scope requirements and deploy agentic AI systems that enable autonomous clinical development workflows with built-in human oversight.The role entails leading technical engagements with prospective and existing customers, designing and implementing tailored solutions that integrate Medable's platform with eClinical systems, and demonstrating Medable capabilities through live demos and proof-of-concepts. You will be part of a team that is passionate about driving innovation and empowering consumers in the healthcare and life sciences industry.

What You Will Do
- Lead technical engagements with prospective and existing customers to scope requirements and deploy agentic AI systems
- Design, architect, and implement tailored solutions that integrate Medable's platform with eClinical systems and agentic AI frameworks
- Demonstrate Medable capabilities through live demos, technical deep dives, proof-of-concepts, and production deployments of agentic AI
- Build, deploy, and optimize agentic AI and agent systems in regulated environments, enabling autonomous capabilities such as real-time patient matching and predictive risk mitigation
- Incorporate robust human-in-the-loop systems throughout agentic deployments to maintain compliance, ethical standards, and human accountability
- Wrangle large-scale clinical, real-world, and operational data to power agentic AI reasoning and agent coordination
- Develop custom integrations, APIs, configurations, and tooling to support agentic AI autonomy and agent system interoperability
- Troubleshoot and refine agentic AI deployments on-site or remotely, optimizing for scalability, reliability, and effective human-AI collaboration
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and go-to-market teams to relay field insights from agentic AI deployments and influence roadmap decisions
- Contribute to RFPs, technical proposals, solution designs, and executive presentations highlighting the transformative impact of agentic AI and agent systems
What We Are Looking For
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in technical consulting, solution engineering, forward-deployed engineering, or implementation
- Strong expertise in agentic AI, cloud-based platforms, and eClinical systems
- Experience with autonomous clinical development workflows and human-in-the-loop systems
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with customer stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and refine agentic AI deployments
- Experience with large-scale data wrangling and data integration
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards in the healthcare and life sciences industry
Nice to Have
- Experience with decentralized trial flows or adaptive designs
- Familiarity with machine learning algorithms and natural language processing
- Certification in cloud-based platforms or eClinical systems
- Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems
