What You Will Do

• Own the technical delivery of multiple deployments, from the first prototype to stable production, ensuring that each project meets the high standards of both Openai and its customers.
• Build full-stack systems that deliver significant value to customers, sharpening the understanding of how AI models can be integrated into real-world applications.
• Embed closely with customer teams to understand their needs, guide the adoption of the solutions you build, and ensure that the technology is used effectively.
• Scope work, sequence delivery, and remove blockers early to maintain momentum and meet objectives.
• Make informed trade-offs between scope, speed, and quality, adjusting plans as necessary to protect delivery timelines without compromising on the quality of the outcome.
• Contribute directly to the code when progress or clarity depends on it, demonstrating your ability to work hands-on when necessary.
• Codify working patterns into tools, playbooks, or building blocks that others can use, contributing to the development of best practices within the team.
• Share field feedback that helps Research and Product teams understand where the models succeed and where they can improve, providing valuable insights that inform future development.
• Keep teams moving through clarity and follow-through, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and aligned with project goals and progress.

What We Are Looking For

• 5+ years of engineering or technical deployment experience that includes customer-facing work, demonstrating your ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in scoping and delivering complex systems in fast-moving or ambiguous environments, showing your capacity to adapt and lead in challenging situations.
• Proficiency in writing and reviewing production-grade code across frontend and backend using languages like Python, JavaScript, or comparable stacks, with a focus on quality and maintainability.
• Experience in building or deploying systems powered by Large Language Models (LLMs) or generative models, and a solid understanding of how model behavior affects product experience.
• Ability to simplify complexity, making fast and sound decisions under pressure, and to communicate clearly with engineers, product teams, and customer stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to spot risks early and adjust plans without slowing down the project's momentum.
• A calm and composed demeanor in high-stakes situations, modeling professionalism and judgment.

• Experience with Adjust and GTM, demonstrating your familiarity with the tools and technologies relevant to this role.
