About the Role
As a Forward Deployed Engineer, Infrastructure Specialist at Cohere, you will play a crucial role in leading end-to-end deployments of Cohere's cutting-edge AI workspace platform, North. You will collaborate closely with enterprise IT teams to assess infrastructure, security requirements, and data management practices. Your expertise will be instrumental in solving complex problems and securely integrating AI into critical sectors.Your day-to-day responsibilities will include designing and implementing deployment strategies tailored to client needs, ensuring compliance with data privacy and security standards. You will also troubleshoot and resolve deployment-related technical issues, providing timely solutions to minimize downtime. What You Will Do
- Lead end-to-end deployment of North in private cloud and on-premises environments, including planning, configuration, testing, and rollout
- Partner with enterprise IT teams to assess infrastructure, security requirements, and data management practices
- Experiment at a high velocity and with a high level of quality to engage customers and deliver solutions that exceed their expectations
- Design and implement deployment strategies tailored to client needs, ensuring compliance with data privacy and security standards
- Troubleshoot and resolve deployment-related technical issues, providing timely solutions to minimize downtime
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new features and functionality
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for deployment processes and procedures
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying this knowledge to improve deployment processes and solutions
What We Are Looking For
- Experience with deploying enterprise software in private/hybrid cloud environments
- Proven experience administering production Kubernetes clusters and expertise with Helm
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and tools like Git for version control
- Strong expertise in cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, GCP), networking, and virtualization
- Experience working directly with customers, with a strong customer-centric approach
- Ability to execute in fast-paced environments and prioritize tasks effectively
- Experience with Excel and other productivity tools
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

- Experience with AI and machine learning technologies
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies and version control systems
- Experience with IT service management frameworks, such as ITIL
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices
