About the Role
As a Forward Deployed Engineer, Infrastructure Specialist at Cohere, you will play a critical role in deploying AI solutions to public sector organizations. This role is at the forefront of solving complex problems and securely integrating AI into critical sectors. You will work directly with customers to understand their greatest challenges and design and implement solutions using Cohere's cutting-edge AI platform, North.The North platform is designed to revolutionize the way enterprises utilize AI, offering a secure and customizable environment that allows companies to deploy AI while maintaining control over sensitive data. As a key member of the Cohere team, you will be responsible for leading end-to-end deployment of North in private cloud and on-premises environments, including planning, configuration, testing, and rollout.
You will be working closely with enterprise IT teams to assess infrastructure, security requirements, and data management practices, and will be expected to experiment at a high velocity and with a high level of quality to engage customers and deliver solutions that exceed their expectations.
What You Will Do
- Lead end-to-end deployment of North in private cloud and on-premises environments, including planning, configuration, testing, and rollout
- Partner with enterprise IT teams to assess infrastructure, security requirements, and data management practices
- Design and implement deployment strategies tailored to client needs, ensuring compliance with data privacy and security standards
- Troubleshoot and resolve deployment-related technical issues, providing timely solutions to minimize downtime
- Experiment at a high velocity and with a high level of quality to engage customers and deliver solutions that exceed their expectations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements
- Develop and maintain technical documentation of deployment processes and procedures
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in AI, cloud infrastructure, and DevOps practices
- Provide technical guidance and support to customers and internal stakeholders
- Participate in agile development methodologies and ceremonies
What We Are Looking For
- Experience deploying enterprise software in private/hybrid cloud environments
- Proven experience administering production Kubernetes clusters and expertise with Helm
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and tools like Git for version control
- Strong expertise in cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, GCP), networking, and virtualization
- Experience with Excel and other productivity tools
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and internal stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Active Top Secret clearance strongly preferred; candidates eligible and willing to obtain clearance will also be considered
