About the Role
The Forward Deployed Operations role at Ramp is a unique opportunity for an AI-native operator to design and run the operating system for the Forward Deployed Engineering team. As a strategic partner, you will own the systems, processes, and information architecture that enable the team to scale its impact without scaling headcount. You will work closely with the Solutions, GTM, Product, and Product Ops teams to drive operational rigor and deliver significant business outcomes tied to revenue and customer activation.The successful candidate will have a strong background in AI-driven operations and GTM strategies, with a proven track record of building and running complex systems. You will be responsible for designing and implementing agent-powered workflows, driving a unified customer hub, and standardizing SOWs end to end.
Ramp's Forward Deployed Engineering team has grown significantly since its inception, and this role will play a critical part in shaping the team's roadmap and priorities. You will work closely with strategic finance, product, and sales leadership to inform where FDE invests and how it can drive maximum impact.
What You Will Do
- Design and run agent-powered operations to enable the Forward Deployed Engineering team to scale its impact
- Build agent-driven workflows for triage, SOW generation, and scoping to minimize engineer involvement
- Own information architecture and design how customer and product context flows through systems
- Drive a unified customer hub with prioritized feature requests, SOW status, and engagement history
- Build and scale processes to standardize SOWs end to end and create playbooks for scoping, handoffs, and post-launch ownership
- Operate across the business to close operational gaps and unify project trackers, intake systems, and roadmaps
- Partner with Product Ops to bring best practices into FDE and drive business impact and strategy
- Use data to find bottlenecks, measure improvements, and prioritize the highest-leverage work
- Surface patterns from enterprise engagements to inform where FDE and product should invest next
What We Are Looking For
- Demonstrated AI fluency and results, with a proven track record of using AI/agent tools to ship real outcomes
- 3+ years in a high-ownership operator role, with experience in consulting, startup ops, chief of staff, product ops, or business ops
- Systems thinking and technical fluency, with the ability to turn messy, ad hoc processes into structured, repeatable systems
- Understanding of APIs, databases, and data flows at a conceptual level
- Experience with GTM strategies and operational rigor
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across teams and functions
- Ability to drive business impact and strategy, with a focus on revenue and customer activation

- Experience with finance tech and digital payments
- Knowledge of cloud-based infrastructure and DevOps practices
- Familiarity with data analytics and visualization tools
- Certification in AI, data science, or a related field
