About the Role

The Foundational Learning Lead role at Service Corporation International (SCI) is a unique opportunity to provide technical leadership across a regional education program, focusing on literacy and numeracy development. What You Will Do

  • Develop and implement comprehensive education programs in literacy and numeracy for the ASEAN region.
  • Provide technical leadership and expertise across the program, ensuring all interventions are evidence-based and scalable.
  • Collaborate with international partners, local governments, and communities to design and deliver education programs tailored to the ASEAN context.
  • Conduct research and analyze data to inform program decisions and ensure continuous improvement.
  • Design and implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks to assess the impact of education programs.
  • Work closely with the program team to ensure alignment with overall program goals and objectives.
  • Develop and manage budgets for program components under your leadership.
  • Represent SCI in regional and international forums related to education and development.
  • Foster and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, partners, and government officials.
  • Ensure compliance with SCI policies and procedures, as well as those of funding partners.

What We Are Looking For

  • Advanced Degree in Education, International Development, Public Policy, or a related field.
  • Deep technical expertise in foundational learning, including program design in literacy and numeracy.
  • Demonstrated experience in translating research and evidence into practical, scalable education interventions.
  • Experience working in the ASEAN region or similar international development contexts.
  • Strong understanding of education technology and digital skills.
  • Proven track record of program design, implementation, and management.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote setting and collaborate with a dispersed team.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in ASEAN languages is an asset.
