Job Description

About the Role

Close is seeking a Founding AI Systems Engineer to own the rebuilding of our internal systems around AI. This includes rethinking data pipelines, GTM tooling, and business logic to drive a $50m company forward.

Responsibilities

  • Build AI-powered internal tools from scratch, such as lead scoring models and Slack bots that answer business questions against live data.
  • Ship automation that actually gets used, identifying bottlenecks in Sales and Marketing workflows and scoping fixes.
  • Work across our GTM stack, making connections clean and well-documented as you build on top of them.

Requirements

  • Technically full-stack with experience in Python backend and TypeScript or JS frontend.
  • Comfortable with AI tools and picking up new infrastructure and data tools as needed.
  • Understanding of how businesses run, including GTM teams, lead scoring, and attribution.
