About the Role
The Founding Recruiter will play a crucial role in driving Akuity's growth by identifying and hiring top talent across Go-to-Market and Engineering functions. As the first recruiter on the team, this individual will have the opportunity to build and shape the talent acquisition process from scratch, working closely with founders and hiring managers to define role requirements, develop sourcing strategies, and drive the hiring process forward. Akuity is a fast-growing company that has already made a significant impact in the tech industry with its innovative approach to GitOps. The company's mission is to simplify the software delivery process, enabling DevOps and Platform Engineering teams to move faster and deploy code effortlessly without the fear of breaking things. As a Founding Recruiter, you will be responsible for leading end-to-end searches, building and executing outbound sourcing strategies, and delivering exceptional candidate experiences. You will also have the opportunity to elevate Akuity's employer brand within the DevOps, open-source, and cloud-native communities.What You Will Do
- Lead end-to-end searches across Go-to-Market and Engineering functions
- Develop and execute outbound sourcing strategies using tools like LinkedIn Recruiter, Juicebox, and Boolean search
- Deliver clear, actionable candidate summaries to help hiring managers make fast and confident decisions
- Build and maintain a strong referral pipeline by activating the Akuity team and open-source community networks
- Continuously calibrate sourcing strategy based on signal from screens and interviews
- Establish interviewer best practices and scorecard standards across the company
- Own the operational layer, including Greenhouse setup, interview stage configuration, and communication templates
- Manage offer processes, including compensation conversations in partnership with leadership
- Ensure every candidate has a timely, respectful, and clear experience from first contact through close
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in recruiting, preferably in the tech industry
- Proven track record of success in building and executing sourcing strategies
- Experience with tools like LinkedIn Recruiter, Juicebox, and Boolean search
- Strong understanding of the tech industry, including Go-to-Market and Engineering functions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple searches simultaneously
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Nice to Have
- Experience with GitOps and cloud-native technologies
- Knowledge of the open-source community and ecosystem
- Familiarity with Akuity's products and services
- Certification in recruiting or a related field
