About the Role
Hector Kitchen, a personalized pet nutrition service, is undergoing a full website rebuild and is seeking a skilled Freelance AI Engineer to lead the project. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for developing a modern, AI-powered website that meets the needs of the company's 50,000+ customers.The successful candidate will have experience working with AI tools and will be comfortable using them as a core part of their development process. You will be working independently, with minimal hand-holding, and will be expected to communicate proactively and keep things simple.
Hector Kitchen is part of the Holidog Group, a team building consumer products in the pet space. The company values speed and quality, and is looking for someone who can own the project end-to-end and deliver high-quality results without cutting corners.
What You Will Do
- Develop a full rebuild of hectorkitchen.com using AI tools and modern technologies
- Collaborate with the team to understand project requirements and deliverables
- Design and implement a clean and efficient website architecture
- Ensure seamless integration of AI-powered features and tools
- Conduct thorough testing and quality assurance to ensure high-quality results
- Communicate proactively with the team and stakeholders to ensure project goals are met
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for the project
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in AI and web development
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of the codebase
What We Are Looking For
- Experience with consumer-facing websites and AI-powered development
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Ruby
- Familiarity with modern web development frameworks and libraries
