About the Role
As a Freelance Designer at Awesomehues, you will be part of a dynamic team of creative professionals dedicated to driving the evolution and prosperity of various organizations through exceptional design services. Your role will entail collaborating on a wide range of projects, from logo and brand design to motion graphics and UX design, utilizing your creative vision to craft refined brand identities, websites, messaging, campaigns, and marketing materials. You will have the flexibility to work remotely, leveraging your skills and experience to contribute to the success of Awesomehues' clients.The day-to-day responsibilities will include working closely with the design team to conceptualize and develop innovative design solutions, ensuring that all projects are completed to the highest standard and meet the expectations of both the company and its clients. Your expertise in design will be crucial in helping Awesomehues' clients achieve their marketing and branding goals, whether through digital media, print, or other channels.
Given the nature of freelance work, adaptability and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously will be key to your success in this role. You will be expected to stay updated with the latest design trends and technologies, continuously developing your skills to meet the evolving needs of the clients and the company.
What You Will Do
- Develop high-quality design concepts, presentations, and materials for various projects, including logo and brand design, motion graphics, and UX design.
- Collaborate with the design team to brainstorm ideas and solutions that meet client objectives and exceed their expectations.
- Design and develop visual elements such as logos, icons, graphics, and infographics for use across different mediums.
- Create engaging and effective motion graphics for digital platforms, ensuring consistency with the client's brand identity.
- Participate in the design and development of user experience (UX) for websites and applications, focusing on usability and accessibility.
- Prepare and present design concepts and final designs to clients, either remotely or in-person, as required.
- Utilize Excel for project management, data analysis, and other tasks as necessary, demonstrating proficiency in spreadsheet software.
- Stay abreast of the latest design trends, technologies, and tools, applying this knowledge to continually improve design quality and efficiency.
- Manage your time effectively to meet project deadlines, working independently with minimal supervision.
- Communicate effectively with the design team and clients, ensuring that design projects are completed on time and to the required standard.
What We Are Looking For
- Proven experience as a freelance designer or in a similar role, with a portfolio that showcases your expertise in design.
- Strong proficiency in design software, including but not limited to Adobe Creative Suite.
- Excellent understanding of design principles, color theory, and typography.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team, with excellent communication and project management skills.
- Experience with motion graphics and UX design is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with Excel and its applications in design and project management.
- A bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and deadlines.
