About the Role
The Freelance Designer position at SAN Creatives Agency represents a unique opportunity for a skilled and enthusiastic designer to join a roster of creative professionals. This role is part of a broader application process, with a special emphasis on candidates who excel in logo and brand design, motion graphics design, UX design, print collateral design, and PowerPoint/Google Slides presentation design.As a freelance designer, you will have the flexibility to work remotely or on-site at the agency's Providence, RI location. Your primary responsibilities will include creating refined brand identities, crafting compelling marketing materials, and collaborating with the design team to drive the evolution and prosperity of financial services, B2B, corporate, and non-profit organizations.
What You Will Do
- Design and develop visual concepts for various marketing materials, including logos, brochures, and websites
- Create motion graphics and animations for social media, events, and presentations
- Develop and maintain brand guidelines and style guides for clients
- Collaborate with the design team to brainstorm and conceptualize new ideas and campaigns
- Create print-ready files for various marketing materials, including business cards, letterheads, and flyers
- Design and develop PowerPoint/Google Slides presentations for clients and internal use
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the latest design trends and technologies
- Participate in design critiques and provide constructive feedback to colleagues
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting tight deadlines and delivering high-quality results
What We Are Looking For
- 2+ years of experience in graphic design, with a focus on logo, motion graphics, UX, and print design
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
- Strong understanding of design principles, including color theory, typography, and composition
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- A portfolio that showcases your design skills and experience, particularly in logo and brand design
- Experience with PowerPoint/Google Slides presentation design and development
- Familiarity with Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
Nice to Have
- Experience with front-end development, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Knowledge of UI/UX design principles and human-centered design methodologies
- Familiarity with project management tools, such as Asana, Trello, or Basecamp
- Experience with design systems and style guide development
- Certification in graphic design or a related field
