Freelance Legal Consultant (US Law) - AI Trainer

About the Role

The role involves working on project-based initiatives, which will require you to generate prompts that challenge AI, evaluate AI-generated solutions for correctness, assumptions, and logic, and apply structured scoring criteria to assess multi-step problem-solving. You will be working remotely, and your ability to manage your time effectively and work independently will be essential to your success.

What You Will Do

• Generate prompts that challenge AI systems to ensure they can handle complex legal scenarios
• Evaluate AI-generated solutions for correctness, assumptions, and logic, and provide feedback to improve their performance
• Apply structured scoring criteria to assess multi-step problem-solving and ensure that AI systems are aligned with accepted standards and regulations
• Improve AI reasoning to align with first principles and accepted standards in US law
• Collaborate with other experts to develop and refine AI training datasets
• Stay up-to-date with developments in US law and AI technology to ensure that your expertise remains current and relevant
• Participate in project-based initiatives that require your expertise in US law and AI training
• Provide input on the development of new AI training projects and initiatives
• Work closely with the Mindrift team to identify areas for improvement in AI systems and develop strategies to address them

What We Are Looking For

• Degree in law (Bachelor, J.D., LLM, FLLM) within the US context
• 2+ years of legal practice experience within US jurisdiction
• Strong written English (C1/C2) and excellent communication skills
• Stable internet connection and ability to work remotely
• Experience with AI technology and machine learning (desired but not required)
• Ability to work independently and manage projects remotely
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate complex legal scenarios

Nice to Have

• Experience with natural language processing and machine learning algorithms
• Familiarity with AI training datasets and data annotation
• Knowledge of data protection and privacy laws in the US
• Certification in AI or machine learning (e.g. Stanford CS229)
• Experience working with cross-functional teams to develop and deploy AI systems
