Job Description

About the Role

The Channel Company is seeking experienced freelance marketing and GTM consultants to support its agency team on a project basis. This role is ideal for professionals who can hit the ground running, taking direction and producing high-quality outputs without requiring heavy oversight. As a freelance consultant, you will be working within established frameworks and templates, focusing on the execution of marketing and GTM strategies rather than developing them from scratch.

Its agency team delivers consulting services, marketing, and events that help technology vendors, solution providers, and IT leaders drive meaningful business outcomes. As a freelance consultant, you will be an integral part of this team, contributing your expertise to support the delivery of these services.

What You Will Do

  • Support pre and post-workshop execution, including inputs, synthesis, and outputs
  • Conduct market and ecosystem research, persona development, and GTM motion mapping
  • Build foundational GTM artifacts, such as messaging frameworks and activation plans
  • Develop slides and support campaign and activation handoffs
  • Work on partner program development, ecosystem alignment, and joint value creation as an Alliance Marketing Consultant
  • Design go-to-market motions, activate partners, and plan routes to market as a Partner GTM Strategist
  • Develop messaging, campaigns, and activation plans within tech environments as a B2B Tech Marketing Consultant
  • Provide workshop support, develop content, and translate strategy into actionable outputs as a Consulting/Enablement Specialist
  • Collaborate with the agency team to deliver high-quality, client-ready outputs
  • Operate within defined processes and timelines to meet project deadlines

What We Are Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in alliance marketing, partner GTM, B2B tech marketing, or consulting/enablement
  • Familiarity with technology partner ecosystems, including cloud, infrastructure, and SaaS
  • Proven ability to turn ambiguous inputs into structured, client-ready deliverables
  • Strong executor mindset with a focus on producing deliverables, not facilitating strategy
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to operate within defined processes
  • Ability to work independently and deliver against tight timelines
  • Prior freelance or contract experience is preferred
  • Excellent communication and project management skills

Nice to Have

  • Experience with project management tools and software
  • Certification in marketing or a related field
  • Knowledge of data analysis and interpretation
