Job Description

About the Role

As a Freelance Supply Chain Consultant at Mindrift, you will play a critical role in designing realistic disruption scenarios, defining expected outcomes, and evaluating AI-generated recommendations. Your hands-on experience in procurement and supply chain management will be invaluable in this project-based role. You will work closely with a team of experts to ensure that AI systems are trained to handle real-world supply chain challenges.

The success of this project relies heavily on the ability of the consultant to think critically and develop innovative solutions to complex supply chain problems. Your expertise will help Mindrift's clients to improve their supply chain resilience and responsiveness to disruptions.

What You Will Do

  • Design realistic supply chain disruption scenarios based on real-world manufacturing and procurement contexts
  • Define expected outcomes and mitigation strategies for each scenario
  • Evaluate AI-generated responses and recommendations against real-world business logic
  • Assess outputs for accuracy, completeness, and relevance within ERP environments
  • Contribute to structured data creation and validation tasks following defined guidelines and frameworks
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of AI solutions
  • Develop and maintain detailed documentation of disruption scenarios and mitigation strategies
  • Provide feedback and recommendations for improving AI system performance
  • Participate in project meetings and discussions to ensure alignment with project goals

What We Are Looking For

  • Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in procurement, supply chain, or purchasing, ideally in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong working knowledge of procurement workflows, including purchase orders, vendor management, inventory, and production planning
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics 365
  • Proven ability to design and reason through supply chain disruption scenarios and mitigation approaches
  • Solid understanding of disruption types, including delays, shortages, quality issues, and logistics challenges
  • Knowledge of Incoterms and transportation/logistics management
  • Familiarity with BOM structures and production planning processes
  • Experience with supplier performance metrics, including OTIF, lead times, and quality scores
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to assess AI outputs against real-world business logic

Nice to Have

  • Experience with data validation, structured data entry, or annotation tasks
  • Familiarity with AI and machine learning concepts
  • Knowledge of cloud-based ERP systems and their integration with AI solutions
  • Certification in supply chain management or a related field
