About the Role

What You Will Do

• Translate documents from English to Gujarati, using a range of translation tools and software
• Review and edit translations to ensure that they are accurate, complete, and meet the client's requirements
• Conduct research to stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the field of translation and localization
• Collaborate with other translators and project managers to ensure that projects are completed efficiently and effectively
• Utilize Ulatus's quality management system to ensure that translations meet the company's high standards
• Work independently to manage multiple projects and deadlines, while maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail
• Communicate with clients and project managers to ensure that their needs are met and that any issues are resolved promptly
• Participate in training and professional development opportunities to improve your skills and knowledge
• Stay organized and manage your time effectively to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality translations

What We Are Looking For

• Recognized graduate qualification in translation from an institution of higher education
• Two years of full-time experience in translation, or five years of full-time professional experience in a related field
• Fluency in English and Gujarati, with excellent writing and communication skills
• Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the field of translation and localization
• Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
• Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, and to collaborate with others as part of a team
• Familiarity with translation tools and software, such as CAT tools and translation memory systems
• Strong cultural sensitivity and awareness, with the ability to understand and appreciate the nuances of different languages and cultures

Nice to Have

• Experience working with translation agencies or localization companies
• Knowledge of industry-specific terminology and concepts, such as business management and marketing
• Familiarity with quality management systems and processes, such as ISO 9001 and ISO 17100
• Certification in translation, such as the Certified Translator (CT) or the Certified Translation Professional (CTP)
• Experience working with freelance platforms or remote work arrangements
