About the Role

The role of a Frontend Developer at Quinncia Inc entails working closely with a fully remote team to enhance the UI and UX of the company's career readiness platform. This platform aims to improve college student outcomes by providing personalized feedback on resumes and interview skills using AI. The successful candidate will be responsible for influencing how individual features are built, ensuring end-to-end product quality, and contributing to making the app/website reliable. The team at Quinncia values high-quality code, seeing it as more than just unit tests and code coverage. Therefore, the ideal candidate will be someone who looks for opportunities to automate, packages reusable code, and is constantly learning and ready to adapt to new technologies, patterns, and paradigms. As a core member of the Front-End team, you will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies such as chatbots, computer vision, data visualization, machine learning, natural language processing, and video processing/conferencing.

What You Will Do

Develop high-quality, reusable, and efficient code for the frontend of Quinncia's platform.
Collaborate with the lead designer to ensure a strong understanding of UI and UX principles and their application in the platform.
Work on enhancing the UI and UX of the platform to improve user experience.
Implement automated tests for the frontend code, ensuring the reliability and stability of the platform.
Participate in code reviews to ensure the highest standards of coding are met across the team.
Engage in continuous learning to stay updated with the latest frontend technologies and trends.
Collaborate with other team members to identify and prioritize project requirements.
Develop and maintain technical documentation for the frontend codebase.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex frontend issues, ensuring prompt resolution and minimal downtime.

What We Are Looking For

Profound knowledge of Javascript, TypeScript, and Next.js.
Practical and recent experience with React.js.
Experience communicating with RESTful services.
Experience with testing frameworks such as Jest.
Experience with bundling of Javascript code using tools like Webpack.
Deep knowledge of CSS, including preprocessors like Sass.
Understanding of GraphQL and its applications.
Strong logical skills and the ability to predict edge cases for handling different issues.
A good understanding of design patterns and principles.
Experience working in a fully remote environment and managing time zones effectively.

Nice to Have

Experience with Docker and containerization.
Knowledge of Ramda and functional programming principles.
Experience with other technologies and tools that can enhance the platform's capabilities.
Participation in open-source projects or personal coding projects that demonstrate skill and passion.
