About the Role
As a frontend engineer on the Ads Growth Activation team, you will play a crucial role in building user-facing products, workflows, and experimentation surfaces that help new and existing advertisers successfully adopt and unlock value from Reddit's platform. This team is responsible for onboarding small to medium-sized businesses (SMBs) onto the Reddit Ads platform, ensuring a seamless graduation into the broader ecosystem. Your work will directly impact the growth and success of these businesses, making this role both challenging and rewarding.The Ads Growth Activation team operates in a fast-paced environment where priorities evolve, and strong communication is critical. You will work closely with your team's Tech Lead, Product Manager, Designer, and partner engineers to break down ambiguous problems into shippable milestones, surface risks and blockers early, and deliver features that improve advertiser activation and long-term success on the platform.

What You Will Do
- Build performant, mobile-optimized ad growth experiences on ads.reddit.com and on partner platforms such as Shopify and WooCommerce.
- Collaborate with product, design, and engineering partners to turn business goals and product requirements into clear technical plans and high-quality user experiences.
- Break down complex problems into iterative, shippable milestones and make steady progress across multiple priorities.
- Communicate status, tradeoffs, risks, and blockers clearly and early, and ask for help when needed to keep work moving.
- Engage in the full development cycle: design, develop, test, experiment, analyze, and deploy.
- Contribute to a strong team culture through thoughtful code reviews, feedback, and day-to-day collaboration.
- Ramp quickly on the team’s domain, systems, and development workflows to make meaningful contributions early.
- Participate in the planning and execution of A/B tests to measure the effectiveness of new features and iterate based on findings.
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation of your work, including technical designs, code comments, and testing plans.
What We Are Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in frontend engineering, with a strong portfolio of web applications that demonstrate your skills.
- Strong proficiency in Typescript and Javascript, with experience in building responsive, data-intensive web applications.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals, including building reliable, maintainable, and well-structured systems.
- Experience with frontend build tools such as Webpack, Rollup, or similar.
- Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks and libraries like React, Angular, or Vue.
- Understanding of web performance optimization techniques and how to apply them.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Nice to Have
- Experience with GraphQL and RESTful APIs.
- Knowledge of state management solutions like Redux or MobX.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
- Experience working with design systems and contributing to their development.
- Certification in frontend development or a related field.
