About the Role
The Frontend Engineer position at BTSE is a unique opportunity for a skilled professional to work on building the Research Workbench, a configurable, module-based interface for a crypto hedge fund. This role requires expertise in React, Next.js, and TypeScript, as well as experience with WebSocket and real-time data display. As a member of the development team, the successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing modular UI architectures that meet the needs of the hedge fund.The day-to-day responsibilities of this role will involve collaborating with the development team to identify and prioritize project requirements, designing and implementing new features, and ensuring that all code is high-quality, readable, and well-documented. The ideal candidate will have a strong product sense and be able to work independently to deliver high-quality results.
The Research Workbench is a critical component of the hedge fund's operations, providing a platform for users to analyze and visualize complex data. As such, the successful candidate will need to have experience with data visualization tools like Recharts, D3.js, Plotly, or TradingView Lightweight Charts.
What You Will Do
- Develop the Research Workbench, a configurable, module-based interface for a crypto hedge fund
- Design and implement modular UI architectures using React, Next.js, and TypeScript
- Build a feedback UI that captures corrections and ratings
- Implement real-time data display systems using WebSocket
- Collaborate with the development team to identify and prioritize project requirements
- Design and implement new features to meet the needs of the hedge fund
- Ensure that all code is high-quality, readable, and well-documented
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of the codebase
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise
What We Are Looking For
- 4+ years of experience in frontend engineering
- Expertise in React, Next.js, and TypeScript
- Experience building configurable, modular UI architectures
- Strong product sense and ability to work independently
- Experience with WebSocket and real-time data display
- Experience with data visualization tools like Recharts, D3.js, Plotly, or TradingView Lightweight Charts
- Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Experience with component libraries and TailwindCSS
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Nice to Have
- Experience with crypto hedge funds or financial institutions
- Knowledge of trading platforms and real-time data systems
