About the Role

As a Telehealth Registered Dietitian at Allara Health, you will play a vital role in delivering expert care to women across the United States. Your primary responsibility will be to analyze intake assessments, conduct diet and lifestyle counseling sessions, and provide personalized guidance to patients. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including APRNs and MDs, to ensure comprehensive care for your patients.

The role of a Telehealth Registered Dietitian is multifaceted, requiring a deep understanding of hormonal, metabolic, and reproductive care. You will employ motivational interviewing and behavior change techniques to empower patients to take control of their health. With a focus on longitudinal care, you will work with patients throughout various life stages, from perimenopause to chronic condition management.

What You Will Do

  • Analyze intake assessments, including medical history, dietary habits, and laboratory results
  • Conduct diet and lifestyle counseling sessions via video, providing personalized guidance and support
  • Employ Allara's provided nutrition training and educational materials to ensure consistent care
  • Incorporate motivational interviewing and behavior change techniques throughout patient care
  • Collaborate with APRNs and MDs to ensure comprehensive medical management
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
  • Dedicate a minimum of 10 patient-facing hours per week, with additional administrative time
  • Address patient inquiries and respond to administrative tasks in a timely manner
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices
  • Develop and implement personalized nutrition plans for patients
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed

What We Are Looking For

  • Current certification as a Registered Dietitian from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
  • At least 1 year of experience treating patients with complex women's health conditions
  • Proven ability to function as an autonomous provider with strong diagnostic judgment and critical thinking skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on compassion and clarity
  • Strong webside manner, with the ability to build trust and connection with patients in a virtual setting
  • Commitment to delivering care rooted in current clinical research and evidence-based practice
  • Technical proficiency, with comfort working across multiple platforms, including EMR systems and virtual meeting tools
  • Active, unrestricted, and unencumbered state license to practice as a Registered Dietitian in at least one U.S. state

Nice to Have

  • Prior telehealth experience, with a strong understanding of virtual care delivery
  • Experience working with electronic medical records (EMRs) and other digital health tools
  • Certification in a specialized area of dietetics, such as women's health or pediatrics
