About the Role

As a part-time nanny at Jovie, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality childcare to families in need. What You Will Do

  • Provide high-quality childcare to children of varying ages and needs
  • Create and implement engaging activities and lesson plans to promote learning and development
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment, adhering to all relevant safety protocols and regulations
  • Communicate effectively with parents, providing regular updates on their child's development and any issues that may arise
  • Work collaboratively with other nannies and staff members to achieve common goals
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, and other stakeholders
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge
  • Assist with homework and educational activities, up to 5th-grade level
  • Engage in active play and outdoor activities with children, weather permitting

What We Are Looking For

  • At least 1 year of day-to-day childcare experience, working with children of varying ages and needs
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
  • Ability to lift 35 pounds safely and engage in active play
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong commitment to delivering exceptional childcare services
  • Ability to provide 3 references, including 2 related to working with children

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with children with special needs
  • Certification in CPR and first aid
  • Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or a related field
  • Experience with lesson planning and curriculum development
