About the Role
The on-call nanny position at Jovie is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about working with children and providing top-notch care in a family setting. As an on-call nanny, you will have the flexibility to choose your schedule and work with a variety of families, each with their unique needs and dynamics. This role is ideal for those who thrive in fast-paced environments and are able to think on their feet.Day-to-day, you will be responsible for creating engaging and fun experiences for the children in your care, whether that's through play, arts and crafts, or simply spending quality time together. You will also be expected to maintain open communication with parents, keeping them informed about their child's daily activities, meals, and any issues that may arise.

What You Will Do
- Provide high-quality care for children of various ages, from infants to school-aged kids
- Engage in play, arts and crafts, and other activities that promote learning and development
- Establish and maintain a safe and healthy environment for the children in your care
- Develop and implement fun and interactive daily schedules
- Assist with homework and school assignments for children up to 5th grade
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding daily activities, meals, and any issues that may arise
- Maintain confidentiality and discretion when dealing with sensitive family information
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your childcare skills
- Collaborate with other nannies and staff members to achieve common goals
- Utilize the My Jovie App to manage your schedule and stay organized
What We Are Looking For
- At least 1 year of day-to-day childcare experience with children of all ages
- Ability to work a minimum of three days per week, between 7am and 7pm
- Reliable vehicle and valid driver's license for transportation
- High school diploma or equivalent
- First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift 35 pounds safely and engage in active play
- Reliable and dependable, with a strong commitment to the families you work with
- Ability to provide 3 references, including 2 related to working with children and 1 character reference
Nice to Have
- Experience working with children of diverse backgrounds and abilities
- Knowledge of child development principles and practices
- Certification in early childhood education or a related field
- Bilingual or multilingual skills
