About the Role

The FT PT Nanny position at Jovie is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about working with children and making a positive impact on families. As a nanny with Jovie, you will have the chance to work with a variety of families, each with their unique needs and dynamics. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include engaging in activities with children, such as arts and crafts, outdoor play, and homework assistance.

In this role, you will be an integral part of the Jovie team, working closely with other nannies, sitters, and staff members to provide top-notch childcare solutions. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills and confidence through comprehensive training, resources, and support.

What You Will Do

  • Engage in activities with children, such as arts and crafts, reading, and outdoor play
  • Provide homework assistance, including math and English assignments up to the 5th grade level
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, and coworkers
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding daily activities, meals, and any issues that may arise
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment for children, including cleaning up after activities and ensuring proper hygiene practices
  • Assist with light housekeeping duties related to childcare
  • Transport children to and from activities, if necessary
  • Attend training sessions and workshops to improve childcare skills and knowledge
  • Collaborate with other nannies and sitters to share best practices and resources

What We Are Looking For

  • At least 1 year of day-to-day childcare experience with children ages infant and up
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Reliable vehicle and valid driver's license
  • Ability to lift 35 pounds safely
  • Ability to get up from and down to the floor numerous times throughout the day
  • First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Availability to work at least three days per week, between 7am-7pm

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with children of various ages and abilities
  • Knowledge of childcare best practices and current research
  • Certification in a related field, such as early childhood education
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills
