About the Role
The Full Stack Engineer role at Stripe is a chance to be at the forefront of the digital payments revolution. As a member of the Link Engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and building the next generation of payment experiences. What You Will Do
- Design and build new features for the Link product, ensuring they meet the high-growth needs of Stripe's customers
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the company to identify and prioritize project requirements
- Debug and solve critical production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack
- Mentor junior engineers to help them grow in their roles
- Participate in code reviews to maintain high-quality engineering standards
- Work closely with the product team to understand user needs and develop solutions that meet those needs
- Contribute to the development of internal engineering standards, tooling, and processes
- Collaborate effectively in a distributed and hybrid team, maintaining open communication and strong connections with colleagues
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying that knowledge to improve Stripe's products
What We Are Looking For
- 2-10+ years of industry software engineering experience
- Strong coding skills in any programming language
- Ability to work across workstreams within your team and contribute to your peers' success
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to thrive with a high level of autonomy and responsibility
- Interest in working as a generalist across varying technologies and stacks to solve problems
- Experience with cloud-based services such as AWS, gRPC, GraphQL, Docker, and Kubernetes
- Good understanding and practical knowledge of large-scale financial tracking systems
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Nice to Have
- Experience with containerization using Docker
- Knowledge of Kubernetes for orchestration
- Familiarity with GraphQL for API development
- Understanding of gRPC for high-performance RPC
