Job Description

## About the Role As a Full Stack Engineer at DotCollective, you will be an integral part of the Connect Product squad, responsible for designing, building, and maintaining high-performance eCommerce solutions. Your day-to-day tasks will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, including UX designers, delivery leads, and management, to scope, estimate, and deliver projects. You will work closely with stakeholders to ensure that solutions meet client expectations and contribute to the company's position as a key Shopify+ Partner.

The role requires a strong technical foundation, with expertise in React, Node.js, and TypeScript. You will lead the development of scalable eCommerce solutions, working with Shopify Plus and contributing to the company's growth. As a key member of the team, you will also be responsible for mentoring and supporting fellow engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.

DotCollective is a highly technical team passionate about crafting engaging, personalized, and socially connected eCommerce experiences. Since launching in 2016, the company has built hundreds of eCommerce sites for prominent clients, including Decjuba, Aje, Incu, Tony Bianco, Scanlan Theodore, Viktoria & Woods, and major groups such as Brand Collective, Brandbank, and Globe.

## What You Will Do - Lead the development of scalable, high-performance eCommerce solutions using React, Node.js, and TypeScript - Collaborate with UX designers, delivery leads, and management to scope, estimate, and deliver projects - Work with Shopify Plus, contributing to the company's position as a key Shopify+ Partner - Assist in architecting solutions and deployments on AWS/GCP - Maintain high documentation standards, ensuring internal and external clarity across platforms like GitHub and Slack - Mentor and support fellow engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence - Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of the codebase - Collaborate with the team to identify and prioritize project requirements - Develop and maintain technical documentation for projects and solutions - Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying this knowledge to improve existing solutions

## What We Are Looking For - High-level proficiency in React, Node.js, and TypeScript - Experience with Shopify Plus and a strong understanding of eCommerce best practices - Knowledge of headless CMS frameworks such as Sanity or Storyblok - Working knowledge of Three.JS or similar creative technologies for animation - Ability to scope and break down projects into clear, manageable tasks - Strong problem-solving mindset and the ability to think critically about complex technical challenges - Comfortable in a client-facing role, discussing solutions with non-technical stakeholders when necessary - Strong written communication skills with a focus on documentation and knowledge sharing - Self-driven with a positive mindset, eager to contribute to team culture and engage in ongoing learning

## Nice to Have - Experience with AWS or GCP - Familiarity with agile development methodologies - Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and security protocols
