About the Role

The Accountable Addiction Recovery Coach position at You Are Accountable is a full-time remote opportunity for individuals passionate about supporting others in their recovery journey. As a Recovery Coach, you will work closely with members who are transitioning out of treatment and into the next phase of their lives, providing guidance, support, and connection. This role is crucial in helping individuals build resilience, develop coping strategies, and achieve long-term sobriety.

As someone who has navigated their own recovery journey, you will bring a unique perspective and understanding to this role. Your primary responsibility will be to carry a caseload of members, providing one-on-one support and guidance through regular check-ins, progress monitoring, and collaboration with clinical teams.

What You Will Do

  • Offer peer support via text and video, being a real, human presence for members when they need it most
  • Monitor toxicology and breathalyzer tests over video, utilizing technology to support members in their recovery
  • Collaborate with each member's clinical team to ensure aligned support and care
  • Build and track personalized relapse prevention plans, tailored to each member's unique needs and goals
  • Conduct weekly check-ins and review progress surveys to identify areas of concern and provide timely interventions
  • Represent You Are Accountable's mission in every interaction, embodying the company's values of compassion, empathy, and connection
  • Utilize digital tools and platforms to facilitate communication, data tracking, and member support
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the recovery process, staying up-to-date on best practices and research in the field
  • Provide feedback and insights to the clinical team, contributing to the development of effective recovery strategies

What We Are Looking For

  • Lived experience in recovery, with at least 3 years of continuous sobriety
  • Peer Recovery Support Specialist credential in the state of Pennsylvania (or willingness to obtain)
  • Comfort and proficiency with digital tools, including video conferencing, messaging apps, and data tracking software
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to empathize and connect with members
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage a caseload
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities
  • Commitment to the mission and values of You Are Accountable, with a passion for supporting others in their recovery journey

Nice to Have

  • Experience working in a clinical or counseling setting, with a background in case management or sponsor work
