About the Role

As a Fullstack PHP Developer at Bluelight Consulting, you will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and potentially taking over the full technical ownership of clients' digital ecosystems. This role entails bridging the gap between high-performance e-commerce and agile content management, ensuring the stability of the current Magento instance, and managing WordPress integrations. You will be working closely with a team of professionals who are passionate about delivering exceptional service to clients.

What You Will Do

  • Manage and maintain Magento 2 and WordPress platforms for clients
  • Ensure the stability of the current Magento instance and manage WordPress integrations
  • Execute seamless deployments as technical responsibilities are transitioned
  • Bridge the gap between high-performance e-commerce and agile content management
  • Collaborate with the team to deliver exceptional service to clients
  • Identify and document 'technical debt' in inherited systems
  • Optimize existing codebases for better performance
  • Develop custom themes, hooks, and plugins for WordPress
  • Work with REST/GraphQL APIs to connect Magento and WordPress with external ERPs, CRMs, or marketing tools
  • Manage Linux-based server environments and ensure security and compliance

What We Are Looking For

  • Deep, hands-on experience with Magento 2.x and WordPress
  • Strong proficiency in PHP 8.x and Object-Oriented Programming
  • Experience with MySQL queries and high-performance caching layers like Redis, Varnish, and Elasticsearch
  • Proficiency in HTML5, CSS (SASS/LESS), and JavaScript
  • Experience working with Git version control and staging-to-production workflows
  • Knowledge of PCI compliance, Magento security patching, and WordPress hardening techniques
  • Certification as an Adobe Certified Professional (Magento) or similar credential
  • Experience with system integration and DevOps

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Knockout.js, RequireJS, and other Magento frontend stack technologies
  • Familiarity with modern PHP frameworks and Composer
  • Knowledge of PSR standards and security best practices
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies
