About the Role

The Functional Application Analyst will play a vital role in supporting business stakeholders and IT teams in implementing secure and well-governed access solutions. This involves translating requirements into authorization and role designs, troubleshooting application issues, and ensuring SAP access controls align with role design standards and audit requirements.

As a key member of the team, the Functional Application Analyst will work closely with various stakeholders to gather and analyze business and security requirements for SAP ERP access and workflow needs. This role is crucial in maintaining the integrity and security of SAP systems, ensuring compliance with internal policies and audit readiness for access controls.

What You Will Do

  • Gather and analyze business and security requirements for SAP ERP access and workflow needs
  • Design, configure, and maintain Role-Based Access Control for SAP ERP
  • Support SAP system access governance, including role reviews, access certification support, and controlled changes
  • Maintain documentation for access design, role structure, and functional mappings
  • Collaborate with IAM/security teams to align SAP authorization design with enterprise standards
  • Troubleshoot functional and access-related issues
  • Support SAP transport/change processes and validate changes in QA/SIT/UAT environments
  • Perform root-cause analysis for incidents and contribute to continuous improvement of access patterns and controls
  • Provide user support and guidance to business teams on authorization requirements and access requests
  • Assist with testing for functional and access-related changes

What We Are Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience as a Functional Application Analyst or in a similar role
  • Advanced English skills (mandatory for this role)
  • Hands-on experience with SAP ERP functional support and configuration
  • Strong experience with Role-Based Access Control in SAP
  • Proficiency with SAP authorization concepts
  • Solid understanding of SDLC processes
  • Experience working with tickets, incident management, and change requests
  • Ability to translate business needs into authorization/role requirements clearly and accurately
  • Strong documentation and communication skills

Nice to Have

  • Experience with ServiceNow or similar incident management tools
  • Knowledge of ITIL frameworks
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies
