About the Role
THE THIRD FLOOR Inc. is a leading visualization company that partners with clients to plan and explore their stories before filming. With a team of artists and filmmakers, the company uses its visual storytelling skills to help directors and studios envision their projects in the earliest stages of production. The company is founded by artists for artists and maintains a collaborative, small-studio culture. As a member of the team, you will work on high-profile projects, contributing to the company's mission to deliver exceptional visual storytelling.The role entails working on various productions, from previs to postvis and finals animation. You will collaborate with the production team, technology department, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of projects. Your day-to-day tasks will include brainstorming ideas, developing concepts, and creating visualizations to help clients bring their stories to life.
What You Will Do
- Collaborate with the production team to develop and implement visual storytelling concepts
- Create previs, postvis, and finals animation for film, episodic, and games
- Work closely with directors and studios to understand their vision and deliver high-quality visualizations
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of filmmaking and storytelling principles
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies to continuously improve skills and knowledge
- Contribute to the development of new ideas and concepts for productions
- Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate new ideas and solutions
- Collaborate with other departments, such as technology and production, to ensure seamless project delivery
- Create and maintain accurate records of project progress and outcomes
What We Are Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in visualization, film, or a related field
- Strong understanding of storytelling principles and filmmaking techniques
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work effectively in a remote environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in visualization software and tools, such as Maya or Nuke
- Experience working on high-profile productions and collaborating with directors and studios
- Strong portfolio that demonstrates visual storytelling skills and experience

- Knowledge of animation principles and techniques
- Familiarity with game development and virtual reality technologies
