About the Role

The General Manager role at Garage Beer is a remote position that requires strategic leadership and a deep understanding of the beer industry. As a key member of the company's leadership team, the General Manager will be responsible for leading a division and driving revenue growth through culture building, revenue management, and establishing execution routines. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the three-tier system and experience working with wholesalers, distributors, and retailers.

The General Manager will be responsible for fostering a winning, family-like culture within their team and will directly manage a group of Area Sales Managers, Territory Sales Managers, and Field Sales Representatives. The role will also involve building relationships with external partners, including wholesalers, distributors, and retailers, to drive business growth and increase revenue.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to drive revenue growth and increase market share
  • Foster a winning, family-like culture within the team and promote a growth mindset
  • Build and maintain relationships with external partners, including wholesalers, distributors, and retailers
  • Directly manage a group of Area Sales Managers, Territory Sales Managers, and Field Sales Representatives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including national accounts, revenue management, field marketing, finance, and operations
  • Establish execution routines and drive consistency in wholesaler execution
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and develop strategies to capitalize on them
  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and sales plans
  • Identify and mitigate risks to the business and develop strategies to minimize their impact

What We Are Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in the beer industry, preferably in a leadership role
  • Strong understanding of the three-tier system and experience working with wholesalers, distributors, and retailers
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth and increasing market share
  • Experience building and maintaining relationships with external partners
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to analyze sales data and market trends and develop strategies to capitalize on them
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
