About the Role
The Geophysical Reporting Manager is a critical role that involves leading and delivering high-quality geophysical site survey reports for offshore projects. This position requires a deep understanding of geophysical data and the ability to interpret complex information to ensure technical accuracy and compliance with client requirements. As a member of the team, the Geophysical Reporting Manager will work closely with offshore geophysicists, processing teams, and project management to ensure consistency and completeness of reporting outputs.The day-to-day responsibilities of this role will involve overseeing the integration and validation of geophysical datasets, including bathymetry, shallow seismic, sub-bottom profiling, and seabed characterization. The Geophysical Reporting Manager will also provide technical review, ensure adherence to QA/QC standards, and support the identification and documentation of geohazards for risk assessment.
As a leader in the team, the Geophysical Reporting Manager will act as the focal point for client communication during the reporting phase and support the clarification of technical findings. This will require excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills, as well as the ability to continuously improve reporting workflow, templates, and best practices to enhance efficiency and quality of deliverables.
What You Will Do
- Lead and deliver high-quality geophysical site survey reports for offshore projects
- Oversee the integration and validation of geophysical datasets, including bathymetry, shallow seismic, sub-bottom profiling, and seabed characterization
- Coordinate closely with offshore geophysicists, processing teams, and project management to ensure consistency and completeness of reporting outputs
- Provide technical review and ensure adherence to QA/QC standards
- Support the identification and documentation of geohazards for risk assessment
- Act as the focal point for client communication during the reporting phase and support the clarification of technical findings
- Continuously improve reporting workflow, templates, and best practices to enhance efficiency and quality of deliverables
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in geophysical technology
What We Are Looking For
- Degree in Geophysics or a related discipline
- Minimum 8 years of experience as an offshore geophysicist
- At least 5 offshore geophysical site survey projects in a Reporting Manager role
- Strong knowledge of offshore survey methods and geohazard assessment
- Proven report writing, data interpretation, and stakeholder coordination skills
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work effectively in a remote setting and manage global projects
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with geophysical software and tools
Nice to Have
- Certification in geophysics or a related field
- Experience with data management and analysis software
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or R
