About the Role

What You Will Do

  • Design, implement, operate, and maintain geospatial databases and data storage solutions
  • Monitor database performance, capacity, and availability to ensure optimal system functionality
  • Configure and manage geodatabases, including schema design, data models, and metadata structures
  • Support data integration, ingestion, and transformation across geospatial systems
  • Implement database security, access controls, and data protection measures
  • Collaborate with system administrators, developers, and analysts to ensure seamless data integration and ingestion
  • Develop and maintain data models, data dictionaries, and data governance policies
  • Optimize database performance and troubleshoot issues as needed
  • Participate in the development of geospatial data standards and best practices
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in geospatial database management

What We Are Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in geospatial database management and data integration
  • Strong understanding of geodatabases, data models, and metadata structures
  • Experience with database management systems such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, or PostgreSQL
  • Knowledge of data security principles and practices, including access controls and data protection measures
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment
