About the Role
The Global Alliance Lead, Microsoft, is a pivotal position at Fivetran, responsible for cultivating and maintaining a strategic relationship with Microsoft. This involves developing and executing a comprehensive joint strategy that positions Fivetran and dbt Labs as the go-to partners for data infrastructure and analytics engineering. The role requires a deep understanding of both Fivetran's and Microsoft's businesses, as well as the ability to navigate complex organizational structures to drive mutually beneficial outcomes.Day-to-day, the Global Alliance Lead will engage with C-suite executives and key stakeholders across both companies, ensuring alignment and buy-in for joint initiatives. This role is critical in defining how Fivetran and Microsoft collaborate to deliver cutting-edge data solutions to their customers. The successful candidate will be a seasoned professional with a proven track record in alliance management, strategic partnerships, and business development, particularly in the technology sector.
Reporting to the Global Head of Cloud Service Providers, the Global Alliance Lead will work closely with various teams, including sales, marketing, operations, product management, and finance, to orchestrate a cohesive approach to the Microsoft alliance. This is a senior individual contributor role that demands exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and interpersonal skills.
What You Will Do
- Own the global Microsoft alliance at the partner and executive level, building trusted relationships with key stakeholders across Microsoft's sales, product, and engineering teams.
- Define and execute a multi-year joint strategy that positions Fivetran and dbt Labs as the default analytics engineering and data infrastructure partners for Microsoft.
- Develop and manage joint business plans, including revenue targets, customer acquisition strategies, and marketing initiatives.
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify and pursue new business opportunities through the Microsoft partnership.
- Work with product management and engineering teams to ensure alignment on product roadmaps and joint development initiatives.
- Facilitate executive-level engagement, including quarterly business reviews and strategic planning sessions with Microsoft executives.
- Manage and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) for the alliance, including revenue growth, customer satisfaction, and joint marketing efforts.
- Coordinate with the marketing team to develop joint marketing campaigns and collateral that highlight the partnership's value proposition.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks or conflicts within the alliance, ensuring that issues are addressed promptly and effectively.
