About the Role
The Global Mobility & Immigration Partner will play a critical role in DoorDash's Global People Operations team, managing the company's high-volume Americas immigration program. This role will involve partnering closely with employees, managers, recruiters, and vendors to ensure timely and compliant immigration processes. The successful candidate will be part of a supportive and fast-paced global People team that values collaboration and innovative problem-solving.As a key member of the Global Mobility & Immigration team, you will focus on managing day-to-day immigration cases, reviewing immigration petitions and applications for accuracy, and monitoring shared inboxes to ensure timely resolution of issues. You will also serve as the first point of contact for stakeholders, providing clear guidance on immigration processes, policies, and timelines.
What You Will Do
- Manage day-to-day immigration cases, including work visas, green cards, and compliance tracking
- Review immigration petitions and applications for accuracy and completeness
- Monitor shared inboxes and escalate issues as needed to ensure timely resolution
- Serve as the first point of contact for stakeholders, providing clear guidance on immigration processes, policies, and timelines
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including Legal and Talent Acquisition, to ensure alignment and compliance
- Contribute to scalable practices and program enhancements to improve transparency, predictability, and employee experience
- Stay up-to-date with the latest changes in the US immigration landscape and apply this knowledge to improve immigration processes
- Manage multiple cases at once with accuracy and care, and communicate clearly and collaboratively with employees and partners
- Use case management systems or centralized vendor platforms to manage immigration cases efficiently
- Collaborate with the rest of the GMI team to ensure alignment and compliance
What We Are Looking For
- 3-5 years of experience in US immigration, preferably in a high-volume environment
- Experience with US immigration categories, including H-1B, L-1, TN, O-1, PERM, and green card
- Experience with Americas immigration, particularly Canada and Mexico
- Ability to manage multiple cases at once with accuracy and care
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Experience with case management systems or centralized vendor platforms
- Ability to stay up-to-date with the latest changes in the US immigration landscape
- Collaborative team player who enjoys working cross-functionally
Nice to Have
- Experience with AI tools to enhance efficiency, insights, and impact in immigration work
- Knowledge of global mobility trends and best practices
- Certification in immigration law or a related field
