Job Description

About the Role

The Global Process Digital Authority role is a critical position that requires a unique blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and collaboration skills. As a key member of the GE Vernova team, you will be responsible for defining and owning the global digital standard for maintenance management and machine data utilization across manufacturing sites. Your primary focus will be on developing and implementing a global digital blueprint that integrates machine data across platforms, translates it into actionable insights, and drives asset reliability, process stability, and quality.

The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of digital technologies, including automation, sensors, and data analytics. You will be working closely with the Global Process Engineering Authority, who owns the physical asset, controls infrastructure, and automation standards. Your ability to partner with local teams, adopt and implement global standards consistently, and drive change will be essential to your success.

The role is part of a global network of site-level process owners and subject matter experts covering both maintenance management and machine controls disciplines. You will be expected to build and coordinate this network, drive standard adoption, share operational learnings, and prevent local workarounds from becoming embedded practice.

What You Will Do

  • Define and own the global digital blueprint for maintenance management and machine data utilization across Gas Power manufacturing sites
  • Establish the global standard and partner with local teams to adopt and implement it consistently across all sites
  • Partner with the Global Process Engineering Authority to develop, maintain, and update Automation Process Specifications and Machine Process Specifications
  • Own the digital standard for CNC program management, version control, and secure distribution to machines across sites
  • Develop the digital standard for machine data collection and own the operational intelligence
  • Partner with the GPEA to develop the integration standard between machine-level systems and the manufacturing execution system
  • Standardize maintenance, repair, and operations spare parts digital workflows
  • Lay the foundational data and process groundwork for predictive maintenance capabilities
  • Co-own application selection and solution design with Digital Technology and the New Technology Introduction team
  • Monitor post-deployment usage and outcomes to identify gaps between the standard and actual maintenance and controls execution
  • Serve as the primary escalation point when sites diverge from the global standard

What We Are Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in a digital transformation or process engineering role
  • Strong understanding of digital technologies, including automation, sensors, and data analytics
  • Excellent collaboration and partnership skills
  • Ability to drive change and adopt global standards consistently
  • Experience with CNC program management, version control, and secure distribution
  • Knowledge of machine data collection and operational intelligence
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as engineering or computer science
