About the Role
The Global Process Engineer role at GE Vernova is a critical position that focuses on developing and deploying global standards to improve the reliability, availability, and performance of manufacturing equipment and processes. This role entails working closely with the Global Manufacturing Engineering Leader and cross-functionally with various teams to analyze data, implement proactive measures, and drive continuous improvement. The successful candidate will be responsible for cost reduction through standardization of equipment and processes, establishing standards, and ensuring adherence to these standards.The Global Process Engineer will be a key player in introducing new technology, asset transfers, and new process introductions, including lead time, technology selection, and recommendations for fixturing, tooling, process control plans, and qualifications of manufacturing assets. This role requires strong technical knowledge, extensive exposure to manufacturing, engineering, quality, and safe process development.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of manufacturing processes, a strong analytical mindset, and the ability to influence a dotted-line organization. They will be responsible for coaching and influencing factory manufacturing engineers across Aero Alliance factories, driving a culture of inclusion and respect for people, and promoting continuous improvement.
What You Will Do
- Develop, qualify, and improve manufacturing processes to drive reliability and efficiency
- Define global process standards and equipment standards, deploying them across Aero Alliance factories
- Partner with local factory technical leaders to implement global processes for manufacturing assets
- Validate engineering specifications and shop floor application of new processes
- Partner with channels on the development of new repair processes and qualifications
- Develop and implement reliability improvement strategies using industry best practices
- Collaborate with maintenance, operations, engineering, and safety teams to design and implement preventive and predictive programs
- Lead investigations into failures and chronic issues, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions
- Provide technical support for asset management, including equipment life cycle analysis and spare parts optimization
- Train local factory manufacturing engineers to deepen their expertise in process and equipment
- Participate in the design and installation of new equipment, ensuring reliability is considered from the outset
