As a GRE tutor, you will play a vital role in helping students achieve their academic goals by providing personalized coaching and support. You will work closely with students to assess their strengths and weaknesses, develop customized study plans, and teach core concepts and test-taking strategies.Your expertise will be instrumental in helping students navigate the complexities of the GRE, and your ability to explain complex ideas clearly will be essential in keeping students motivated and engaged. What You Will Do
- Conduct 1:1 tutoring sessions with students to assess their strengths and weaknesses
- Develop customized study plans tailored to each student's needs and goals
- Teach core concepts and test-taking strategies to help students improve their GRE scores
- Provide feedback and support to students throughout their preparation journey
- Collaborate with the Leland team to ensure a high-quality student experience
- Utilize digital tools and platforms to deliver virtual tutoring sessions
- Track student progress and adjust study plans as needed
- Communicate effectively with students and the Leland team to ensure seamless coordination
What We Are Looking For
- A strong GRE score (typically 90th percentile+)
- Prior tutoring or teaching experience, preferably in GRE test preparation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to explain complex concepts clearly and concisely
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Experience with digital tools and platforms for virtual tutoring
- Passion for teaching and learning, with a commitment to helping students achieve their goals
Nice to Have
- Experience with curriculum development or educational content creation
- Familiarity with learning management systems or online tutoring platforms
- Certification in teaching or education, such as a TEFL or TESOL
