## About the Role The Group Product Manager for Compliance Automation at Coinbase plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of financial regulation and compliance within the crypto ecosystem. This position entails leading the product vision and strategy for AI/ML-powered systems that automate Coinbase's regulatory obligations. The role is critical in strengthening and scaling compliance capabilities through intelligent automation, thereby reducing cost and regulatory risk while enabling global operations. Day-to-day, the Group Product Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Compliance, Legal, Trust & Risk, Engineering, and Data Science. The goal is to ensure that automation systems meet regulatory requirements while enabling product velocity. This involves a deep understanding of regulatory compliance frameworks and the ability to translate evolving regulatory requirements into actionable product capabilities. The role is part of Coinbase's remote-first approach, offering flexibility and the opportunity to work with a global team. However, it's essential to be prepared for quarterly in-person working sessions, which are integral to the company's culture and strategy development. ## What You Will Do - Own the product vision and multi-year roadmap for Coinbase's Compliance Automation platform.

• Lead a team of Product Managers to define, prioritize, and deliver AI/ML-powered capabilities.
• Drive cost optimization by identifying and executing automation opportunities without increasing regulatory risk.
• Partner with various teams to ensure automation systems meet regulatory requirements.
• Shape the integration of emerging AI/ML technologies to strengthen compliance detection.
• Build and maintain relationships with regulatory and compliance stakeholders.
• Develop and execute strategies to reduce manual compliance effort and increase detection accuracy.
• Collaborate on scaling compliance operations across jurisdictions.
• Ensure the development of risk-based compliance workflows.
• Contribute to the development of sanctions screening and transaction monitoring systems.

## What We Are Looking For - 10+ years of product management experience, with significant experience in AI/ML-powered automation, compliance technology, or operational automation at scale.

• Experience leading large, complex cross-functional programs with multiple workstreams.
• Demonstrated ability to partner with ML engineers on agentic AI architectures.
• Proven track record with regulatory compliance frameworks and navigating compliance approval processes.
• Experience driving executive-level alignment and communicating investment tradeoffs to senior leadership.
• Utilizes generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs.
• Strong understanding of the crypto ecosystem and financial regulations.
