About the Role
The Growth Manager, Verticalization & Startups GM, is a critical role at Ramp, responsible for driving the company's growth in the startup segment. As a seasoned growth manager, you will own the P&L for this segment, and be responsible for acquisition, product strategy, onboarding, pricing, and incentives. You will be the face of Ramp in the startup community, building relationships with founders, angels, and accelerators to drive growth.Ramp is building the smart infrastructure for finance teams, embedded in the transaction flow of every dollar a business spends. The company automates how over $200B in annualized spend flows in and out of 70,000+ companies, authorizing payments, flagging risk, categorizing spend, and closing books. As a growth manager, you will be at the forefront of this effort, working closely with cross-functional teams to drive growth and revenue.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the startup ecosystem, with experience in community building, product strategy, and acquisition. You will be a self-starter, with a high level of agency and urgency, and a track record of driving growth and revenue in a fast-paced environment.
What You Will Do
- Own positioning: define how Ramp shows up to brand-new founders and Series B CFOs
- Own acquisition: build the full motion of community and events, founder and angel networks, accelerator and incubator partnerships, programmatic and comparison SEO, paid, referral, and incentive-driven growth
- Own product strategy: decide what startups need first from Ramp, what the day-zero product experience should be, and where the gaps are
- Own onboarding: make incorporation-to-funded-card the fastest, most obvious path in the market
- Own pricing and incentives: design the offer that makes Ramp the default choice at incorporation
- Run incentive programs, partner credits, and founder perks that tip the decision
- Represent Ramp in the startup community: host dinners, speak at demo days, and build relationships with key stakeholders
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product, to drive growth and revenue
- Analyze data and metrics to inform growth strategies and optimize performance
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in growth management, with a focus on startup segment
- Strong understanding of GTM and programmatic skills
- Experience in community building, product strategy, and acquisition
- Strong relationships with founders, angels, and accelerators
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of agency and urgency
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
