Job Description

About the Role

Engine is seeking a highly skilled Growth Marketing Lead to drive the acquisition and growth of its new business credit card, Engine X. This role is critical to the company's mission of transforming business travel through personalized, rewarding, and simple experiences. As a Growth Marketing Lead, you will be responsible for building the acquisition model from the ground up, identifying channels and motions that drive real results, and scaling what works.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in fintech marketing, a deep understanding of GTM strategies, and the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams. You will be the owner of the Engine X acquisition strategy, deciding what to test, what to scale, and what to move on from, all while driving large, ambiguous projects forward without losing momentum.

Engine's growth team uses AI as a core part of its workflow, so experience with AI tools such as Claude Code, LLMs, and modern tooling is essential. You will leverage these tools to move faster, build smarter personalization, and run more tests, all without depending on engineering or ops.

What You Will Do

  • Own the strategy for Engine X acquisition, including deciding what to test, what to scale, and what to move on from
  • Build the acquisition engine, standing up programs, infrastructure, and systems that make Engine X growth predictable and repeatable
  • Drive large, ambiguous projects forward without losing momentum, executing directly where possible and pulling in the right people from growth, product, data, or sales as needed
  • Test new messaging, paid programs, partnerships, and GTM motions, and bring back what works to the team
  • Partner cross-functionally with Product on roadmap and positioning, with Data to instrument, measure, and learn, and with Sales on ICP, motion, and handoff
  • Bring a clear, data-backed perspective to the executive team on where to invest
  • Lead AI-native growth, leveraging AI tools to multiply output and drive smarter personalization
  • Build and grow a team around the acquisition engine as it scales
  • Work closely with the executive team to align on strategy and goals

What We Are Looking For

  • Fintech experience, either in marketing or sales, with a deep understanding of the buyer, compliance considerations, and what makes fintech GTM distinct
  • Owner's mentality, with the ability to operate like a GM, taking ambiguous targets, building the plan, and delivering the outcome
  • Strong data proficiency, including the ability to pull your own data, build your own models, and back your strategy with numbers
  • SQL, Amplitude, and Snowflake experience, with the ability to work with these tools regularly
  • AI fluency, with the ability to use AI to multiply output and drive smarter personalization
  • Customer-centric thinking, with a focus on building acquisition models that drive real results
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment
  • Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product, Data, and Sales

Nice to Have

  • Experience with business credit cards or similar fintech products
  • Knowledge of the travel industry and the challenges of managing business travel
  • Experience working with AI tools such as Claude Code and LLMs
  • Certification in data analysis or a related field
  • Experience leading a team, with a focus on growth and development
