About the Role

The GSI Data Center Key Account Manager role at GE Vernova is a senior-level position that requires a unique blend of technical expertise and business acumen. As a key account manager, you will be responsible for leading all Grid Systems Integration sales activities related to AC Solutions, FACTS, and potentially HVDC. This role represents a significant opportunity to shape the future of data center power infrastructure and manage multi-million dollar strategic partnerships.

In this role, you will work closely with data center hyperscalers, collocators, and consultants to deliver growth and profitability. You will be responsible for developing and executing commercial strategies, managing customer relationships, and identifying new sales opportunities. Your ability to communicate effectively with executive-level customers and influence cross-functional teams will be critical to your success.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and execute account growth strategies for data center hyperscalers, collocators, and consultants
  • Manage customer relationships and communicate value propositions to executive-level decision makers
  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities, including the development of commercial strategies for AC Solutions, FACTS, and HVDC
  • Lead and develop a commercial and technical support team to drive account growth
  • Forecast orders, convertible orders, margins, and sales for assigned regional or segment customers
  • Develop and own strategic customer relationships with key decision makers
  • Drive growth initiatives and new product introductions within assigned accounts
  • Provide feedback on market trends, pricing, and competition to product line marketing
  • Manage travel and living expense budget
  • Conduct operating plan and account reviews with regional leadership

What We Are Looking For

  • BS in Engineering or BA degree required, MBA preferred
  • Minimum of 8 years of direct sales, account, or team leadership experience
  • At least 5 years of experience in the electrical or utility industry sales or product business team role
  • Ability to travel approximately 40%
  • Professional and technical competency with automation and power equipment products or services
  • Experience managing executive-level customer relationships and aligning solutions to strategic objectives
  • Strong communication and influencing skills across executive, engineering, and operations teams
  • Understanding of economic drivers shaping energy market procurement decisions
  • Proactive, customer-focused self-starter with a creative, results-driven approach
  • Ability to thrive in growth, transformation, and change management environments

Nice to Have

  • Experience with GE Grid Solutions portfolio, including GIS, circuit breakers, high voltage IT, sensing systems, grid automation, services, and power equipment
  • Knowledge of data center power infrastructure and trends
  • Experience with sales team management and leadership
  • Certification in sales or a related field
