About the Role

The GTM and Analytics Implementation Specialist role is a pivotal position within our Analytics Team, focusing on the implementation, management, and troubleshooting of Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager for various web properties. Day-to-day, you will work closely with internal and external clients to understand their tracking needs, implement solutions, and ensure that all analytics tools are functioning as intended. This role matters significantly as it directly impacts our clients' ability to make informed decisions based on accurate and reliable data.

As part of our team, you will be expected to take initiative and approach challenges with a logical and methodical mindset. Your work will involve communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to explain issues, propose solutions, and implement those solutions effectively. The role also involves working with a range of analytics tools, including but not limited to Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and other third-party tracking solutions.

What You Will Do

  • Implement conversion tracking for various elements such as forms, buttons, e-commerce platforms, and other custom tracking needs.
  • Verify and sanity-check the implementation of conversion tracking to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Debug tracking issues and implement fixes, often requiring innovative problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Conduct testing and quality assurance on Google Optimize, VWO, Optimizely, and Hotjar to identify and resolve tracking discrepancies.
  • Create customized reports from Google Analytics and other data sources to meet the needs of our clients.
  • Assist in the transition of Google Analytics accounts from UA to GA4, ensuring minimal disruption to data collection and analysis.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement web analytics strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation of analytics implementations and best practices.
  • Provide training and support to less experienced team members on the use of analytics tools and methodologies.

What We Are Looking For

  • At least 2 years of experience in managing Google Tags (GTM) for web properties, including implementation, coding, testing, and maintenance.
  • Proven experience with Google Analytics (GA3/GA4) and other website analytics tools, with a strong understanding of digital analytics and web traffic metrics.
  • Basic knowledge of JavaScript and familiarity with web development principles.
  • Experience in working with third-party tagging, pixel creation, and other tracking technologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex technical issues into manageable parts and execute solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical issues and solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is essential.
  • Experience in transitioning GA accounts from UA to GA4 and knowledge of the latest GA4 features and best practices.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Adobe Analytics and Amplitude, with a broad understanding of the digital analytics landscape.
  • Knowledge of web development frameworks and content management systems (CMS).
  • Familiarity with A/B testing and personalization tools such as Optimizely and VWO.
  • Certification in Google Analytics or Google Tag Manager is a plus.
