Job Description

About the Role

The GTM Automation Engineer at Postscript will play a critical role in systematizing the company's go-to-market motion, leveraging AI and automation to drive revenue. This position requires a unique blend of technical expertise, particularly in Salesforce and Excel, and a deep understanding of the sales and marketing engine. The successful candidate will be a 'scrappy' builder, able to identify problems and implement solutions without needing extensive guidance or timelines. As part of a 100% remote organization, the engineer will work closely with GTM leadership and operations to infuse critical context into systems and layer AI into the entire sales process.

The role is integral to Postscript's mission to make SMS the number-one revenue channel for ecommerce merchants. With the company's rapid growth and expansion, the need for efficient, automated solutions that drive sales and loyalty has never been more pressing. The engineer will be the technical architect behind Postscript's AI-driven GTM motion, building and maintaining workflows, agents, and internal apps that empower the sales team.

What You Will Do

  • Partner with GTM leadership to map out workflows and identify high-leverage opportunities for automation.
  • Design and maintain 'hybrid' automations that seamlessly blend low-code tools with custom scripts where flexibility is needed.
  • Develop internal tools using AI-assisted coding workflows to rapidly build and deploy web apps that solve specific business problems.
  • Build agents that research prospects and workflows that automate customer touchpoints.
  • Create internal apps that give the sales team 'superpowers,' enhancing their ability to drive sales and loyalty.
  • Work closely with operations to layer AI into the entire sales process, ensuring a cohesive and efficient GTM motion.
  • Proactively identify bottlenecks in the sales funnel and implement automation solutions to resolve them.
  • Ensure all internal tools are user-friendly and intuitive, reducing the need for extensive training manuals.
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to ensure that all solutions are aligned with business objectives and revenue goals.

What We Are Looking For

  • Deep understanding of GTM and the sales/marketing engine, including knowledge of MQLs and the challenges of managing a Salesforce instance.
  • Technical expertise in Salesforce and Excel, with the ability to leverage these tools for automation and data analysis.
  • AI-native skills, with experience in using tools like Claude Code, Replit, and other AI-assisted coding platforms.
  • Product and UX instincts, with a focus on creating intuitive and user-friendly internal tools.
  • High ownership and ability to thrive in ambiguity, identifying and solving problems without extensive guidance.
  • Experience in building custom solutions using a combination of low-code tools and custom scripts.
  • Strong understanding of ecommerce and the role of SMS marketing in driving revenue.
  • Ability to work in a 100% remote environment, with excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with low-code tools like Zapier, n8n, and Retool.
  • Knowledge of Python and SQL, with the ability to write custom scripts for automation.
  • Familiarity with ecommerce platforms, particularly Shopify.
  • Background in data analysis and interpretation, with the ability to inform business decisions with data-driven insights.
  • Experience in a similar role within the ecommerce or marketing technology sector.
