About the Role

The GTM Strategy & Operations, Strategic Programs lead at Openai plays a pivotal role in driving the company's highest-priority GTM programs from strategy through execution. This position is situated at the heart of complex, cross-functional work, collaborating closely with Sales, Product, Marketing, Product Marketing, Operations, Enablement, Finance, Communications, and leadership teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for turning ambiguous priorities into clear plans, aligning stakeholders, keeping execution moving, and building the operating systems that help the GTM organization scale.

Day-to-day, this role entails operating across strategy and execution, partnering with GTM leadership and cross-functional teams to shape, plan, and deliver strategic programs that matter to the business. This will involve translating complex business priorities into aligned workstreams, clear milestones, operating cadences, and executive-ready updates. The ability to structure ambiguous problems, build durable processes, influence without authority, and roll up sleeves to remove blockers is essential.

What You Will Do

  • Lead high-priority GTM initiatives, including product launches, sales plays, and customer programs, to drive business outcomes.
  • Build execution plans, manage risks, and drive cross-functional alignment from strategy through delivery to ensure program success.
  • Partner with GTM leadership to develop data-driven recommendations aimed at improving pipeline, conversion, and productivity.
  • Support planning cycles and help prioritize initiatives aligned with company goals, ensuring strategic alignment across the organization.
  • Establish operating cadences, executive reporting, decision forums, and standardized program communications to foster transparency and efficiency.
  • Create repeatable processes to launch, measure, and improve cross-functional programs at scale, driving operational efficiency and scalability.
  • Coordinate cross-functional execution, partnering across Sales, Product, Marketing, Enablement, Operations, Finance, and Communications to align stakeholders and manage dependencies.
  • Drive strategic programs with a focus on customer and field signal, ensuring that programs are tailored to meet market needs and drive measurable business impact.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks, ensuring the successful delivery of strategic programs.

What We Are Looking For

  • 8+ years of experience in GTM strategy, operations, program management, consulting, or related fields, with a proven track record of driving business outcomes.
  • Proven experience leading complex cross-functional programs in fast-paced environments, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive results.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence without authority.
  • Ability to operate through ambiguity, prioritize effectively, and drive outcomes with high ownership, taking initiative and leading by example.
  • Experience in high-growth SaaS, AI, or enterprise technology companies, with an understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities in these environments.
  • Background in building operating models, launch processes, or executive reporting systems, with the ability to create scalable and efficient processes.
  • Familiarity with enterprise GTM motions, customer launches, or product-led growth, with an understanding of how to drive adoption and revenue growth.
